Shabu-Shabu...Where have you been all my life?

If you decide to try any new type of food/restaurant this week, then I highly recommend incorporating Shabu-Shabu into your life! For those of you who are unfamiliar with this way of life or Japanese dish, Shabu-Shabu consists of thinly sliced beef, vegetables, and various dipping sauces, which are all cooked in a cauldron filled with delicious warm broth.

Here are our vegetables (napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, bean sprouts, watercress) and beef getting cooked and simmered! Since the broth is already boiling, everything cooks and is ready in an instant. It's perfect for those, like myself, that want their food instantly.

All the various side dishes and dipping sauces to eat with the beef and vegetables.

And because we were feeling especially glutinous, we decided to order a seafood pancake as well!

If you're ever in the DC area, I highly recommend Oegadgib. They offer an all you can eat Shabu Shabu for only $16.99!!!
